Year 8/9 Boys were tournament winners on Wednesday 21st Feb. Despite the freezing temperatures the team won both games without conceding a goal. Results were 5-0 against Campion and 2-0 against CCS. Congratulations to Ben Clarke, James Evans, Will Evans, George Rimmer, Ned Black (C), Flynn Sekban and Lachlan Glen.
Student Match Report: We played two matches first was against Campion who they put up a good fight, their defence was strong but our team played really well and goals were scored by Ben Clarke, James Evans and Flynn Sekban, and great defence from George Rimmer. Final result was 4-0 to Sponne. Second Game was against CCS which was much more challenging with a couple of near goals but thanks to great Goalkeeping from Lachlan Glen they didn’t manage to get on the score sheet. Final result was 3-0 to Sponne. Really positive result and I think we all enjoyed the matches.
