Curriculum Design (Primary)

This course explores the key principles of innovative curriculum design and provides delegates with the tools to develop a rich, broad and balanced curriculum in their own setting. The session is suitable for all primary practitioners from NQTs to school leaders and includes all matters relating to the curriculum from the myths of Ofsted’s Quality of Education judgement to subject leader accountability, supporting pupils’ well-being and their preparation for life as global citizens in the 21st Century. The course is facilitated by John Wayland.

John Wayland has worked in primary education for over 20 years. For the last decade, he has worked as Head Teacher of Grendon CE Primary School, recently judged Primary School of the Year for 2019 at the prestigious TES Schools Awards. The school’s unique approach to learning has drawn wide acclaim for its outstanding curriculum. John is a former Ofsted Inspector, current National Leader of Education and education consultant.
