Alex establishes common national issues for why students typically struggle and fail to access the curriculum, such as patchy prior knowledge and working memory limitations. The session helps define adaptive teaching in response to students’ variable learning and poses practical ways forward. · Session 2: Why do students commonly fail to learn independently?
