Training Secondary Teaching Assistants for Maths Support in Classrooms
This training is facilitated by Karen Lewis
This training is aimed at TAs who are less confident in supporting Maths lessons and would benefit from upskilling in providing effective support in Maths
Content:
- Supporting 'catch up'/LPA students from KS2 into KS3
- Effective use of calculators
- Challenging Maths at Foundation level - e.g. trigonometry, Pythagoras, probability without replacement
- Moving up to support Maths at KS4
- Q & A session - Questions to be sent in advance of training
