Welcome To Sponne School

A very warm welcome to Sponne School.

We work hard to ensure that learning is at the centre of all that we do and are very proud of the achievements of our current and past students. Sponne is a vibrant learning environment and we encourage all of our students to actively engage in all that we offer. Many events take place in addition to our ‘normal’ planned lessons and details for some of these can be found on our website.

I hope that you will find helpful information on our website but do contact us if you would like any further details.

A Level Examination Results 2017

Students and staff at Sponne School in Towcester are celebrating another excellent set of A Level results this year with many individuals achieving outstanding grades. Results have been very good for many years with most achieving the highest grades available. Just under 50% of students gained the very highest A*-B grades with all students passing. Students did particularly well with the very highest grades of A* and A grade with a quarter of all results being achieved at these levels.

Amongst the many delighted students today was one who achieved A*’s in all of her subjects, Lucy Adams, who with Laura Simpson (who gained 2A*’s and 1A) will be starting at Oxford University in the new academic year. In addition to this, both Katie Kitchen and Jake Ward gained 2A* and 1A grades in their three A Levels plus an extra AS A grade. Harriet Noy, Evie Bilioni and Jack Holmes all gained an A* and 2 As, whilst a number of other students gained all As in their subjects including Josh Adams, Peter Best, Michael Fish and Sophia King. Many other students gained at least 1 A* or A in their set of results.

Tesco Bags of Help Scheme - In Store Voting

Sponne School's recent application to the Tesco Bags of Help Grant Scheme has been successful.

Our project will be put forward to a customer vote in the Tesco store in Towcester during July and August 2017. Please support our cause 'Mental Health Support for Local Families' and the funding will help ensure we can offer support to the young people at Sponne and their families.

Thank you

Stepping Up To Sponne In September?

As your child starts their final term at Primary School, your thoughts will naturally be turning to their forthcoming transfer to Sponne in September. In order to make this a welcoming experience, and to answer as many questions as we can for you in advance, we will be visiting your child in their primary setting over the next few months.

An Information Booklet will be given out at this time; it can also be downloaded here

Welcome Year 6s!

We are very much looking forward to welcoming and meeting our new students due to start in September at our transition events that are happening soon.

Thursday 6th and Friday 7th July are the Induction Days when the Year 6s come to school and experience what school will be like in September. They will travel around the school having the opportunity to meet a range of teachers in a wide variety of subject areas, sample the canteen food, and of course, meet lots of new friends!
