Our year 12's recently went on an EPQ trip, below is a summary of the day written by Sienna (year 12):
We recently went on a trip to Coventry University for a workshop on how to structure our EPQ dissertations. In the morning, we had an academic writing session with Dr Thomas Clifton, who delivered a lecture-style talk on the best way to structure our dissertations. He also gave us a chance to experience what university life is like. He used an example dissertation to show us how to apply the structure he had outlined; we all found the session really helpful.
In the afternoon, we also had the opportunity to take a tour of the universityβs campus library. This was really interesting, as it was another chance to see how the university works and to ask questions about how the library is run.
