As part of our commitment to helping our students become responsible citizens we held a road safety event in conjunction with Northamptonshire Police. Students learnt about the correct procedures when encountering emergency vehicles on the road, the checks needed on cars before driving, what OP Snap is and how reporting driving concerns can lead to fines, education courses and even court for those found to be breaking driving laws. Students also got to see how alcohol can affect our reaction times by using ‘beer’ goggles and were able to ask questions about careers within the police force.
