Huge congratulations to the 60 cast members on three outstanding performances of the epic musical, Les Misérables! What an achievement! The feedback from the audience members has been phenomenal. All the staff are so proud of each and every student - well done. The performances followed 10 months of rehearsing four hours each week, culminating in a weekend of technical and dress rehearsals when all the lighting, radio microphones and orchestra came together for the first time. The professionalism of the cast during this final weekend of rehearsals was outstanding.
This has been an exceptionally expensive musical to stage (the licensing company takes 16% of the box office takings and the hire of the vocal scores and orchestral music alone costs over £2500, not to mention the additional costs of hiring 24 radio microphones, digital lighting, additional staging etc!). Having seen the show, if any audience members would like to donate to our production fund in order that we can continue to offer similar experiences to students in the future, this would be very much appreciated.

During the summer holiday we will be working on a video recording of the show. We hope to be able to have a cast reunion in the Autumn term so that we can do a showing of the performance in the hall and make the recording available to others.
