Sponne School is pleased to announce that we have taken delivery of a new school minibus following a fantastic fundraising effort from Sponne PFA over the last two years.
Sharon Onley, Sponne Business Manager said "We are absolutely delighted to receive £43,125 raised by Sponne PFA towards the cost of our fabulous new school minibus. We cannot believe what a tremendous amount has been raised that practically covers the total cost! This is going to make a huge difference to the students of Sponne school, and we could not have done this without the hard work of the PFA"
Anne Clare Ward from the PFA commented "The PFA are delighted to see that the new school minibus has arrived! We have been fundraising for the minibus for just over 2 years and we are very grateful for every individual, business and organisation that has supported us to raise over £43k towards the total cost. It is a great feeling to be able to support the school to purchase much needed equipment like this that will benefit all pupils for many years to come. We look forward to seeing the minibus out and about taking the pupils to events across the county soon.”
On receipt of the minibus this week Mr Forbes added " I'd like to say a huge thank you to our amazing Parents and Friends Association (PFA) for their incredible fundraising! Thanks to their hard work and generosity, we’ve been able to purchase a brand-new school minibus. This will make such a difference for our students—helping them get to sports matches, trips and activities that create lifelong memories. We’re so grateful to everyone who supported the PFA to make this possible.
Well done to everyone involved!
