Over the Easter Holidays the Sponne Equestrian team was out in full force achieving some amazing results.

Olivia and Tilly W, Indie L and Annabelle R competed at County Qualifiers in dressage at Bury Farm and claimed the team County Champion title plus the individual County Champion title for Olivia. This qualified the students for the National Schools Equestrian association championships at Hickstead in May, and Annabelle secured a qualification for Nationals in October. Alice A was well placed in the show jumping classes too, and welcome to Darcey who competed in the dressage and show jumping.

Easter Sunday saw the Beachborough School eventer challenge at Dallas Burton- and again a stellar performance by all. Olivia Tilly and Indie winning the mini class with Olivia qualifying for Hickstead individually , then Alice joined the team to win in the novice class, with Tilly and Indie qualifying individually. Alice finished the day also qualifying individually in the intermediate class. The squad now heads to a very exciting championship in May over 4 days.

We are delighted to offer opportunities for our Sixth Form students to represent the school at football. A district cup tie at home to Moulton and a friendly away to EWS South.

NHPS Trust schools came to Sponne to take part in a skills festival and tournament. Jo Keites organised a brilliant event and Sponne Sports Leaders did us proud yet again, executing their roles of coaches, managers and officiators with enthusiasm, kindness and expertise!

It was fantastic to see 42 students involved in this football tournament; led by Y9 leaders Harry, Carter, Bobby & Jack.
Otis led his team to victory in both the round robin phase, and the eventual final.
Brilliant effort and teamwork from everyone!
