On Thursday 3rd October we had a brilliant morning with Sponne Sports leaders at Blakesley, we actually had blue sky and sunshine! Year 9 leaders ran multi-skills activities for year 1 & 2 and year 3 & 4. Lots of fun was had by all!

What a great start to the season. First round of the Girls National Cup Football and our 1st win 17-0! Well done to our fantastic team captained by Zara S. Players Player: Ella H and Coaches Player: Anya K

Sports Leaders training Y5/6 to be leaders!

What a fabulous way to start the year, so much fun (and learning!) had by all.

Over the weekend 5 members of Sponne's equestrian team competed at the famous Blenheim International Horse trials at Blenheim Palace. They took part in the eventers challenge and the show jumping competitions. The weather was absolutely dreadful but all students performed extremely well in huge classes (over 180 in the eventers challenge) and in very challenging conditions, for a top 10 finish in the show jumping. Well done to Evie M, Bess W, Lucy A, Grace W and Annabelle R., and parents who coped in the rain!

We have welcomed 2 new members to the Equestrian squad this year- welcome to Tilly W, Darcey M  both in year 7.We look forward to seeing you compete in the Sponne kit over the next few months.
